Episode #1: Nerds No More

In a distant galaxy, far, far, away, there was a huge crisis in the entire universe.
A giant ship called the Vulture, was heading straight for Toadtipa, where Professor T. Bird and Princess Angelica must find the Essence of the Ancient Warriors of Toadtipa.
"We must be arriving here in Toadtipa by any minute now, Angelica," said Professor T. Bird. "The Essence of the Ancient Warriors is waiting for us."
"That may be long enough, Professor," said Angelica. "It is very far away and we will not be getting there so soon."
"You have nothing to worry about it, Your Highness," Professor T. Bird replied. "I'm sure to understand that your father will be proud of yourself."
"I understand," said Angelica.
Just as soon as they were about to arrive, a giant ship called the Gargantua, came nearby towards the Vulture.
Inside, was the Dark Queen and her army of rats were targeting on the Vulture.
"There's the Vulture, Your Majesty," said General Slaughter. "We've come closer for it."
"Excellent, General Slaughter," said the Dark Queen, as she smiled in an evil glee. "Just as soon as I have my revenge. The Essence of the Ancient Warriors of Toadtipa will be mine."
Then she ordered him. "Prepare for destruction!"
"Yes, Your Majesty," General Slaughter agreed. Then he ordered the army of rats to start an ambush. "You heard her! Fire!"
The Gargantua started to fire on the Vulture for an ambush.
Inside the Vulture, an alarm was heard. Professor T. Bird and Princess Angelica were shocked to see what was going on.
"An ambush!" cried Angelica. "What's going on?!" "We've been hit!" cried Professor T. Bird. "I must check the monitor!"
He started to turn on the monitor and check to see what was going on. "Egads!" he gasped. "It's the Dark Queen! She's gaining on us!"
"Oh my god!" cried Angelica. "This can't be happening! What'll we do?!"
"We must not panic, Princess!" said Professor T. Bird. "We're nearly heading straight for Toadtipa for a few seconds!"
"But...but who's going to save us?!" said Angelica. "We must find out!" said Professor T. Bird, as soon as the Vulture was heading for Toadtipa while the Gargantua kept on firing it.
Meanwhile, in a distant planet called Earth, Morgan Ziegler, Dave Shar, and George Pie were hanging out at the arcade.
Dave and George were Morgan playing an arcade game.
"C'mon, Morgan!" said Dave. "Go for a higher score!"
"Yeah!" said George. "I knew you could win this time!"
"I'm trying to do the best I can!" said Morgan, as he kept on trying his best to earn the highest score in the game.
In this game, a player must defeat the boss so it can earn a higher score. The boss was attacking at it as the player dodged its attacks. Then, it started attacking. Just as it was about to win, the boss used its attacks on the player, and then, the player was defeated.
The screen said "GAME OVER", and Morgan looked shocked. "Wha-?!" he cried. "Oh, dammit! I was about to win the whole game! It's not fair!"
"Aw, get real, Morgy!" said Dave, patting him on the back. "You'll win for sure, if you try harder."
Morgan sighed with relief. "Yeah," he said, "speaking of winning, I'm hungry."
"Me, too," said George. "C'mon, there's a snack shack over there."
"Yeah!" said Dave. "I could go over for a cheeseburger and a shake! Boy, I can't wait!"
They went to the snack shack to get something to eat.
Back in outer space, the Gargantua was firing on the Vulture still.
"Hurry, Professor!" cried Angelica. "We'll be dead for sure!"
Professor T. Bird tried his best to gain speed on the Vulture, as he pressed the buttons on the control panel. "Hang in there, Princess!" he said. "We're halfway through!"
The speed level has been increased, and he started to pull to lever. "Get ready...GO!"
The Vulture quickly got away, and the Gargantua stopped firing.
The army of rats and General Slaughter were shocked. "Your Majesty!" he said. "They got away. We've fell for it!"
The Dark Queen was angry. "Damn those fools!" she shouted. "They will never get away from my clutches! Start following them!"
"Yes, Your Majesty!" said General Slaughter. "Launch that speed!" He ordered the army of rats to launch more speed as possible, as the Gargantua was about to follow.
Meanwhile, the Vulture had finally reached into Toadtipa, where the sacard chamber has lied there. Princess Angelica and Professor T. Bird suddenly got out, and saw that the chamber was there.
"There it is, Your Highness," said Professor T. Bird. "The sacard chamber. We've finally made it."
"At least the Dark Queen wasn't about to get there," said Angelica. "Are we safe yet?"
Professor T. Bird used the soul key to unlock the chamber door. "Almost as usual, Princess," he replied.
The chamber door opened. They went into the chamber.
Inside, there were many pictures and writings of the legendary warriors of Toadtipa, and the Essence of the Ancient Warriors of Toadtipa was kept on a structure.
"This is moment we've all been waiting for, Angelica," Professor T. Bird told to Angelica, "The Essence of the Ancient Warriors of Toadtipa is the only way to find the chosen people, and thus, it is very important that these legendary heroes are strong enough to fight the Dark Queen and her malevolent empire. And I know just where to find them."
"Who are they?" asked Angelica. "Oh, you'll see...," said Professor T. Bird.
He quickly used the teleportation laser to send the Essence to a faraway planet, well, you guessed it: Earth.
Back on Earth, Morgan, Dave, and George were eating at the snack shack.
"It's too bad that you didn't win, Morgan, o' pal," said Dave. "You were in the last level."
"Yeah, but I wasn't finished, yet," said Morgan. "I thought I must be trying hard to concentrate, but I'm not fully advanced. I would've be successful for acknowledging my gaming skills."
"Don't look so glum," said George, eating his burger, "You'll have a chance to win. And I think we should play again."
"Good idea, George," Morgan agreed. "I think we have enough coins left."
The boys got out of the snack shack and decided to play the arcade game once again.
Morgan puts a coin in the slot. "All right!" he said. "It's game time!"
He starts playing it, but the screen went blank.
"Hey!" said Morgan. "What gives?" "What happened?" asked Dave. "I don't know," George replied. "Maybe it's broken."
Suddenly, a glowing light appeared on the screen. The boys look stunned.
"What the hell?" said Dave, stunningly.
The light burst out of the screen and flashed on them. It was the Essence of the Ancient Warriors of Toadtipa!
The boys backed themselves and covered their eyes. All of the sudden, their bodies began to shatter.
Their feet, hands, heads, and muscles began to shift...into toadlike creatures!
All of the sudden, the Essence disappeared. The boys realized what was going on.
They looked at their bodies. They were no longer humans. They were toads!
"OH...MY...GOD!" cried Morgan, looking at his toadlike hands. "What the hell happened to me?!"
"Whoa!" said Dave. "I feel weird..."
"Me, too," said George. "And we look different..."
"And...," cried Morgan. "What happened to us?! We look like toads!"
"No way!" said Dave. "I kinda feel cool about this strange style. In fact, I like it!"
"My muscles feel so strong," said George, as he do his arm poses. "They may feel hard to lift a stone or something."
Morgan looked confused. "I don't even know who done this to us, but I think we should find out."
A beeping noise was heard, and it came from his satellite glove.
"Wh-where did that come from?" he said. "And...what is this?"
He examined at his satellite glove. "I think I'll check it out," he said. He pressed the buttons on his satellite glove. The screen turned on in a flash. "Whoa!" he said. "That's awesome!"
The screen showed that the Dark Queen and her army arrived at Toadtipa.
"Oh my god!" he gasped. "This can't be!"
Dave and George looked at him. "Is something the matter, Morg?" asked Dave.
They watched the screen. "Who is that bitch?" asked George. "And what is she doing here?"
Morgan examined his satellite glove. "It appears that she's about to enter in some kind of a chamber," he said.
The Dark Queen stole the soul key and she and her army entered the sacard chamber.
"Oh my god!" said Morgan. "She did enter that chamber! And I think someone needs help!"
"What're we gonna do, Morgan?" said George. "We don't know how to get there!"
Morgan was thinking how to get to Toadtipa. "Maybe we can use these," he said. He took out his teleporter, and Dave and George took theirs.
"What are those things?" asked Dave. "I don't know," Morgan replied. "But I think I know how it works."
He used it to warp into Toadtipa. Dave and George knew it, too, so they use their teleporters to warp themselves.
Back inside the chamber, the Dark Queen and her army burst in and was about to find the Essence of the Ancient Warriors of Toadtipa.
There, she found Professor T. Bird and Princess Angelica. "I have you surrounded for good, pipsqueaks!" she demanded. "Where is the Essence?!"
Princess Angelica was terrified, and Professor T. Bird defended her. "I won't tell you for now, Dark Queen!" he shouted. "You won't have it!"
He knew that he was about to tell the truth, but when the Dark Queen looked around, the Essence was gone. She was furious.
"I knew it!" she shouted. "You're lying! You know where it is, do you?!"
Professor T. Bird replied, "I sent it to Earth to find new people to become the new legendary warriors of Toadtipa! It's true!"
The Dark Queen sneered, and she called on her rat army to kill them.
"You might as well be telling the truth," she said, "but you're wrong about that. You may have sent it in the first place for finding the rightful people to be changed. As for you and your friend, you can never be alone for yourselves to be perished. I might as well be considerate of your genius plans."
Professor T. Bird was concered about it. "You wouldn't dare!" he shouted.
The Dark Queen smirked with an evil grin on her face. "Pitiful fool!" she said. Then she ordered General Slaughter to kill them. "General Slaughter, take care of them, why don't you?"
"With pleasure, Your Majesty," chuckled General Slaughter. He used his gun to fire on them, but just then, they heard a voice. "Hold your fire!"
The Dark Queen was surprised. "Wha-?" They all looked at them. It was the three toads!
"That wasn't very polite of you to shoot these two innocent people!" said Morgan.
"Who...," said the Dark Queen, "...the hell are you three bastards?!"
"We're here to rescue them!" Morgan demanded. "Now leave them alone, or else we'll beat you to a pulp!"
"Not another step!" warned the Dark Queen. "It is for their own good! I was the only one who tried to get my revenge on those two cowards who do nothing for me to let my future be reborn, and they were about to be perished for eternity. Make one wrong move, or their heads will be blown to bits!"
"I think it's time to show them who's boss, shall we?" said George. They started to attack.
"Destroy them!" ordered the Dark Queen, and the army of rats charged straight towrads them.
The toads used their attacks on them. They have no idea how it happened.
Some of the army's bodies laid them bleeding. And some of their heads were chopped off.
"How did we do that?" said Morgan. "I don't know!" replied Dave. "But, this is so cool! Let's use them to kick their asses off! Mad, bad, and crazy!"
They started continuing using their attacks on the army. The Dark Queen was very furious.
"Damn creatures!" she growled. "General Slaughter! Kill them!"
"Yes, Your Majesty!" said General Slaughter, as he started firing on them, but they dodged his shots.
"Think again, bozo!" taunted Dave. "Damn!" shouted General Slaughter, angrily. "Why won't you hold still?!"
He tried harder and harder to defeat them, but they were fast enough to defend themselves. "Hey!" said Morgan. "I think we're getting good at this!"
Just as soon as General Slaughter kept on trying again and again, Morgan leaped into action and booted him in the face with his smash hit.
General Slaughter collapsed onto the ground, with his nostrils bleeding, his teeth fallen out, and his face covered with bruises.
"General Slaughter!" cried the Dark Queen. "They're...they're indestructible, Your Majesty," cried General Slaughter. He weakily stood up. "They have too much power to be destroyed."
The Dark Queen was beside herself with anger. "You haven't seen nothing to destroy me yet!" she shouted. "Until we meet again, this is your last warning! Troops, retreat!" She called on to her troops to flee, until the soul key dropped out of her hands.
The Dark Queen and her army escaped out of the chamber and got on the Gargantua to take off.
Back in the chamber, Professor T. Bird and Princess Angelica realized that the toads have saved their lives.
"Oh, thank you so much!" said Princess Angelica, happily. "You saved our lives!"
"Well done, chosen ones!" congratulated Professor T. Bird. "You are outstanding, and real, true heroes!"
Morgan, Dave, and George suddenly felt pleased with themselves. "It's not a problem," said Morgan. "We could've done with it."
"Oh! Look at the time!" said Professor T. Bird. "We must be going!"
"Where are we going?" asked George, as they walked out of the chamber.
Professor T. Bird locked the chamber door and went into the Vulture. "Hop aboard on the Vulture," he said. "We're about to be heading to the base."
The Vulture suddenly took flight and left Toadtipa.
Inside the Vulture, the toads were amazed to see that it was huge.
"Wow!" said Dave. "This is amazing! It's so huge! And look at all these controls!"
"Careful now, young fellow!" Professor T. Bird warned him. "Some of them could be dangerous, you know."
"By the way," said Morgan, "who are you? And how did we transform ourselves into toads?"
"I'm glad you asked," said Professor T. Bird. "Since you've rescued us, allow me to introduce myself. I'm Professor T. Bird, and this is Princess Angelica, the ruler of the Terran Kingdom."
He introduced them to Princess Angelica. "Pleased to meet you," she greeted.
"Hey there, babe!" said Dave, showing her his muscles. "How do you like my good-looking muscles?"
"It's really marvelous," Angelica giggled. "I like them."
"Well, as you know," Professor T. Bird told them, "the Essence of the Ancient Warriors of Toadtipa lies in the sacard chamber, and I was the only one who delivered it to you. It is only responsible for all of you to become the new legendary heroes. Each of you will have new powers to destroy enemy by enemy with a smash hit. And that brings you with the name of the three of you: the BattleToads!"
Morgan, Dave, and George looked confused. "The BattleToads?" said Morgan. "Is that a name you gave us like that?"
"Of course!" said Professor T. Bird. "The BattleToads! You've been working as a team which it provides you to become unstoppable. You've got what it takes if you're strong enough to defeat the Dark Queen."
"Who is the Dark Queen?" asked Dave. "She's like a bad, sexy bitch to me."
"No," replied Professor T. Bird. "The Dark Queen is the ruler of Ragnarok, a planet of darkness that is full of danger and murder. She wanted revenge to take over the entire universe, and she sent her malevolent empire to destroy us all. But luckily, I decided that I've brought you right here in this world, and it's up to you to stop her."
"We'll do anything to get rid of that Queenie!" said Morgan.
"Excellent!" said Professor T. Bird. "But first, I don't even know your names yet. I wonder..."
He thought himself how to give new names for the toads, but he had an idea.
"Princess Angelica?" he asked to Angelica, "will you do the honor for them?"
"Why sure!" Angelica agreed. "I'd be glad to."
Then she decided to give new names for them. She first started out with Morgan. "I'm gonna call you...Zitz."
Morgan thought he really liked that name. "Sounds gross to me, but...I like it!"
Then she started to give out for Dave. "You with the cool sunglasses...how about...Rash?"
Dave liked that name. "Hey! Not bad! I love that cool name! Thanks!"
And finally, she gave a new name to George. "And you, strong one, will be...Pimple."
"Pimple?" said George. "That's a good name."
And thus, Morgan, Dave, and George have changed their new names into Zitz, Rash, and Pimple: the BattleToads!
"All right, 'toads!" said Professor T. Bird. "Whaddya say if we all work together?"
"Mad, bad, and crazy!" cheered the BattleToads. And soon, they became friends.
Meanwhile, in the Gargantua, the Dark Queen realized that the new team, BattleToads, would make her curious about it.
"BattleToads, eh?" she said with a smirk on her grin. "I should've known. Such a team of those meddling amphibians with that feathered freak and the Princess of the Terran Kingdom! Someday, I'll soon have my revenge on them once and for all, and the whole universe will be mine! HA HA HA HA HA!"
It looks like the Dark Queen would start a new havoc on them, and not only that the BattleToads were here to save the entire universe. They were mad, bad, and crazy, and they'll do whatever it takes to stop her for good!
